Welcome speech.
Ms. Lv Cuifeng, the CEO of Siri Logistics, was invited to participate and participated in a panel discussion on September 10th titled Doing Business in China: Chinese Business Women Going Global.
First, President Lu analyzed the challenges of starting a business overseas:
01
Talent is scarce. This is mainly facing the countries along the Belt and Road. Due to the underdeveloped economic level and the lack of universality and depth of education, we have created a pain point: the inability to find local high-end talents who understand politics, economy and culture. In order to solve this pain point, only outstanding domestic colleagues can be dispatched, but this leads to high costs of expatriates. Overseas personnel need to spend time to understand the local culture, which brings challenges to business operations.
02
Changes are uncertain. The world has been interconnected in economic, political and cultural aspects, and changes in any country and region will bring global implication. In particular, there are many factors of instability in the Belt and Road countries, and the changes in exchange rates also bring difficulties to business operations.
Secondly, President Lu also gave suggestions for going abroad:
1. There will be a future only when "will" come. This requires companies to spend "hard work" to train outstanding talents at home and abroad. Only with talent can sustainable development.
2. Seek development while changing. Deep understanding of the culture of the country and region where the business is located and the establishment of good government cooperation can help companies take root and grow.
3. Powerful products. Products are the external manifestation of corporate culture and manpower. Only a strong product can have a market.
In the era of explosive information growth, many new technologies are changing the way information is interconnected and cognized. Maintaining a continuous learning drive and keen insight is vital to everyone. ——Yang Lan's speech at the meeting
